Dr. Gary Kawesch, MD

Dr. Gary Kawesch is currently a respected member of the Slim Weight Loss Clinic Advisory Board. A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Yale University and the UCLA School of Medicine, Dr. Kawesch has obtained degrees in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry, in addition to completing an Internal Medicine internship at USC’s Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena and an ophthalmology residency at UCLA’s Jules Stein Eye Institute.

As a former ophthalmologist, Dr. Kawesch has 18 years of experience treating eye disorders through surgery, and with his extensive knowledge, he has helped to develop the integral techniques and instruments that are now part of the innovative LASIK laser eye procedure.

During the first part of his career, Dr. Kawesch was an essential consultant and sports medicine physician to seven professional sports teams in California, including the Oakland Raiders. As part of the Raiders medical staff, Dr. Kawesch worked with the football team for 22 years before retiring from surgical practice.

After performing 70,000 surgical procedures, Dr. Kawesch’s experience and expertise made him one of the foremost ophthalmic surgeons in the United States until a hand injury forced him into retirement. However, after seeing the benefits of anti-aging medicine and recognizing hormone replacement therapy as an emerging cutting-edge treatment, Dr. Kawesch decided to retrain with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine with a new mission to help men improve their physiology and increase their lifespan.
