Dr. Alfonso Morales, MD

As a specialist in Pain Medicine, Dr. Alfonso Morales has spent his career educating physicians and patients about opioid addiction and pain management. A graduate of La Salle University Medical School, Dr. Morales completed an internship at the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital before finishing his residency at the Virginia Tech Carilion Family Medicine Program to become a board-certified physician in Family Medicine.

Soon after, Dr. Morales began practicing in rural Wisconsin and specialized in hospital outpatient, surgical, and ER care before finally moving to the Twin Cities to start his own practice, Revive MD, focusing on comprehensive care in pain medicine.

Around the early 2000s, Dr. Morales became board certified in addiction medicine and was one of the few physicians to receive a waiver to prescribe Suboxone/Buprenorphine as a treatment for opioid dependence and addiction. Afterward, Dr. Morales became a sought-after guest speaker at numerous seminars and spent a good part of his career discussing the disease of addiction and explaining the benefits of certain treatments such as Suboxone and Vivitrol.

Extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Pain Medicine, Dr. Morales has also become a diplomat for several Associations in Pain Medicine, including the American Board of Pain Medicine, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, and the International Association for the Study of Pain.

With 20 years of experience in pain management, Dr. Morales remains passionate about the effects of pain and addiction, making it his mission to create effective preventive care and treatment through the innovations of modern medicine. A firm believer in the importance of teaching patients about pain addiction, and overall well-being, Dr. Morales has dedicated his career to helping patients understand how their pain originates and what they can do to manage or overcome it.

Now that anti-aging treatment has emerged as a cutting-edge field of medicine, Dr. Morales currently focuses on utilizing regenerative medicine to help treat degenerative joint and spinal disease.
